Erik Fender Jar

$1,200.00

Erik Fender created this green on black jar. The jar has been painted with a green clay slip, which has a very subtle green coloration after the firing. The feather and geometrics are beautifully painted. The firing turned out really wonderfully, as there is gunmetal like sheen to it. The piece measures approximately 8″ x 7″.

Erik Fender is the son of Martha Appleleaf from San Ildefonso. Both he and his mother are included in “Fourteen Families In Pueblo Pottery.” Erik is a creative and talented potter. He uses traditional techniques in his pottery making, but creates unique shapes and often uses the green slip made famous by his mother in his work. His pots are nicely shaped and beautifully polished.
